NEON (Nicholls, 1941) - Jap. - Pink - Midseason. Large. Petals and staminodes are light rose-pink and do not fade. The staminodes are tipped and edged with gold and form a large hemisphere. Wide petals. Very bright. (No. 208 from Ama-No-Sode) Wild's 1955 catalog says midseason. Bulletin 83.
'Neon' (USA Nicholls 1941). Kräftig karminrosa. Japanische Blütenform, verbänderte Mitte in der selben Farbe, Staubfäden gelb gerandet.
NEON (Japonaise). (Nicholls, 1941). Excellente japonaise d'une très grande floribondité. Grands pétales rosé mauve vif formant coupe autour des pétaloïdes rouges bordés et mouchetés vieil or. Mi-saison. H 1,10m.

NEON, Nicholls (USA), 1941, Paeonia lactiflora, Within the genus Paeonia the flowers of the Japanese type have the most gorgeous contrasts in colors. This culitvar with her very aptly given name is a perfect example. Very bright pink guard petals surround a illuminated center of pink staminodes which are each edged and tipped with golden yellow. During the maturing process of the flowers this center noticeably grows large and the color does not fade. 'Neon' is a tall and upright grower that stands up well. Some sidebuds present. An eye-catcher of the first order!
NEON, Nicholls (USA), 1941, Paeonia lactiflora, Binnen de groep pioenrozen met bloemen van het Japans type bevinden zich de meest prachtige kleurcontrasten. Deze cultivar met haar zeer welgekozen naam is daar wellicht het summum van. Zeer helderroze buitenste bloembladeren omringen een fel hart van roze tot bloemblaadjes vergroeide meeldraden die allen goudgeel zijn gepunt en gerand. Tijdens uitbloei erg kleurvast. Bovendien een rechtopgaande groeier die zijn vorm mooi behoud tijdens de bloei. Enkele zijknoppen. Een eye-catcher van het eerste uur.
