Zi Yao Tai. Crown form. Flowers 13cm x 8cm, pinkish purple (74-C), the outer petals 3-whorled, large, nearly entire and regular, dark purple basal blotches; the inner petals, crowded, wrinkled, some petaloid filaments bearing anthers are present; pistils small or developed, petaloid, greenish coloured. Stalks slightly long, flowers lateral. Flowering early. Plant dwarf, spreading. Branches slender, curved. Leaves orbicular, small-sized, stiff, sparse; leaflets ovate, obtuse at the apex, upper surface rough, deep green, suffused with deep purple. Growth slow, flowers many. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1963. |
