WINE RED (6502) Ben Gilbertson, Kindred, North Dakota, November 1, 1974. Double, wine-red, 24" height, no pollen, sets seeds, ball form, midseason, one to three buds per stem, Lactiflora. Bulletin #213 March 1975.

 

Wine Red (Gilbertson 1974)  ML-L. Anemone/Bomb; wine-crimson petals and petalodes form a neat flower with ball shape center.  The medium size flower is in nice harmony with the 24-inch bush, a scale suitable for a small space, uncommon among peonies that flower at this season.  Seeds.
