I haven't heard of that first group of cultivars - but I have been growing Xishi for several years now. Anyone living in a warm humid climate (I live in central North Carolina)would like this peony. Lovely and plentiful full double pink flowers, held well above the foliage. Good looking plant, too. |

Hi Bunny, Xi Shi is not a southern tree peony,it is a middle center plain tree peony also,when the middle center plain tree peonies transplant to southern of China, then most of them can suit the warm and wet climate. Kind regards |
