Peonies of China, May 2006

22_lud1 index 24_alpine

Much bigger than the previous site, almost without limits going uphill on a north-slope above Tsangpo river. Open and exposed to winds and frosts (we've found many plants with frost damages). Close too the road the shrubs are smaller, but more uphill mixed with other shrubs, many many large specimen. The flowers seemed to be of a more saturated yellow.
