MAN OF WAR (Saunders, 1929) - Single - Red - Hybrid - DISCARDED. Very large brilliant red. Stems thick and rigid, light green. Foliage intermediate in form between the two parents but much larger and heavier than either. Flowers very large, up to 9 ½ " of the most brilliant and telling crimson. Season of officinalis.
