HERALD '(Saunders, 1950). (LACTIFLORA X OFFICINALIS X MACROPHYLLA) Fleur simple en coupe de 20 cm de diamètre. Pétales disposés de façon un peu désordonnée. Rouge vif satiné. Longues étamines au filaments blancs légèrement courbés à la cime. Très florifère Feuillacs dense, vert assez clair. Précoce. Hauteur 40 cm
Herald (Saunders 1950) Early. Single; bright scarlet red. Special among early bright red peonies in that it is NOT a fernleaf hybrid. Descended from Macrophylla and Officinalis with Lactiflora, it is more bold in texture than most early reds. Medium short bush, of spreading stature. Fertile. Limited supply. Item 0528
