JOHN STARK (Freeborn, 1953) - Single - Deep Crimson - Early. Tall. Seedling of NIPPON BEAUTY. Flower is large, petals well cupped with satin finish. Strong stems, carrying the flower well above the dark green foliage. Distinct from all other red singles. Named for General John Stark of Revolutionary fame. Bulletin 130.
