Wild Forest Blackberry. Seidl/Bremer. Advanced generation lutea hybrid. (Boreas x #39). #39=Golden Era x Chinese Dragon. Deep red-violet colored semi-double flowers. Wavy petals are notched. Red-violet stigmas, red sheath and filament red becoming lighter toward anthers. Produces seed, no pollen to date. Named for wild blackberry coloration when fruit is smashed. Flowers are carried outward on well foliated plants of deep green. Plants are vigorous and produce many ground shoots. Easily propagated through grafting and division. |
