On the way back from Maerkang to Chengdu, not far from Maerkang. On the roadside some pale rose colored flowers. May this be another peony? The bus stopped and we could walk around. Yes! What a fine color! Paling out to almost white, close to the typical form with 2 to 3 very large flowers per stem, 50-60 cm high, 2-3 carpels almost hairless. Imposing also the maiden-hair ferns everywhere. Very shady site.
