31.07.2004 Umbau der Datenbank. Seit Februar arbeite ich intensiv am Umbau der Päonien-Datenbank. Mittlerweile sichtbare Veränderungen sind die Nummern, die jedem Namen zugeordnet sind. Da die Datenbank seit 1997 kontinuierlich gewachsen ist und im Laufe der Jahre immer neue Techniken und gestalterische Ideen dazukamen, war es notwendig geworden, einen sauberen Neuanfang zu starten und alle Einzeldateien auf einen einheitlichen Stand zu bringen und auch an einem einheitlichen Ort abzuspeichern. Von K beginnend bekommen alle Dateien einen neuen Speicherort (paeon.de/aaa/01407.html zum Beispiel), mittlerweile bin ich bis zu Ma vorgedrungen. Die Arbeit wird sich aber noch lange hinziehen.

Die extremen Spitzewerten von Anfang 2003 sind bisher nicht überschritten worden, aber mittlerweile ist der Sockelwert über 60.000 Aufrufe pro Woche ziemlich stabil. The highest levels from the begin of 2003 are not topped yet, but we have a stabile basic level of 60.000 pages weekly minimum.
