Paeonia 'Green Lotus' (Green Lotus Peony) SunZone: 4-8 28" tall Origin: Hybrid This superb new Krekler-Klehm hybrid has been one of the real stars in our heat tolerance trials. Each vigorous clump produces dozens of flower spikes once established. The May-borne (in NC) cactus-dahlia type flowers are composed of frilly white petals suffused with chartreuse at the base of the petals and pink toward the tips. This is destined to be a star in the South where peonies are often just a pipe dream. |

Green Lotus is an herbaceous (soft-stemmed) peony. It is a shrubby perennial that, each year, will typically grow to 26-28 tall by mid-spring, bloom, display attractive foliage throughout the summer and early fall, and then die to the ground after frost. Single blooms, sometimes described as being cactus/dahlia type, feature pale lime green petals with soft pink overtones on the petal extremities and contrasting bright yellow center stamens. Flowers appear in mid-season (usually late May in St. Louis) and are mildly fragrant. Deep green foliage is divided into oval to lance-shaped segments. Excellent cut flower. Krekler- R. G. Klehm, 1995

(0) Another Cactus Dalhia style baby ! Simple flower form with irregurlay denticulated petals typical of this kind of peony. Its color is a wonderful mix mainly white with accents of green and soft rose. Plus, flowers are supported by strong stems and a beautiful foliage. Sweety! Plant of 85 cm. Late bloomer. Very slightly fragrant. New and different! Adorable ! Plant de 85 cm. Floraison hâtive. Léger parfum des fleurs. Très nouvelle. |
