PINK LOBATA - Hybrid. Exhibited - Bulletin 129, page 10.

PINK LUSTRE (Kelsey, 1936) - Semi-double - Pink - Early. Flat flowers of light pink. Flowers much the same formation as Marie Jacquin. List in Bulletin 109.

PINK MONARCH (Auten, 1933) - Double - Bright Pink. A full double with a collar of yellow petaloids pretty well hidden. Color about the same as Souv. de Louis Bigot, but much more refined in petalage. A great novelty. Bulletin 54.

PINK MOUND (Klehm, 1952) - Double - Light Pink - Midseason. Rather short. Huge light pink full double bomb, no stamens, strong stems. A good garden variety. Flower builds to immense size with stems strong enough to hold them upright. The color is pleasing. Bulletin 124.

PINK O'DAWN (Cooper, 1953) - Double - Pink - Late. Brilliant dark pink. Strong stems. The lighter Pink O'Dawn was changed to ALMA HANSEN, but this one was not. Bulletin 129.

PINK O'DAWN (Cooper, 1946) Name changed to ALMA HANSEN. Double - Light Pink. A darker peony later named Pink o'Dawn. Bulletin 129.

PINK OPAL (Sass, 1934) - Double - Light Pink - Midseason. Tall. Full rose type. Light pink with yellow flush. Large flower on wiry stems. Bulletin 57.

PINK PEARL (Sass, 1937) - No description given. Bulletin 69.

PINK PERFECTION (Risk, 1929) - Double - Pink - Late. Tall. Fragrant. Very large. Pink, petals incurved, outer petals becoming white with age. Good foliage and stems, blooms freely. Bulletin 39.

PINK POMPOM (Freeborn, 1943) - Double - Pink - Midseason - Hybrid. Clear pink. Medium sized delicate flower held on good stems. Full double. Albiflora x officinalis. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129.

PINK PROLIFIC (Guille, 1949) - Double - Pink - Very Early. Average size. Medium pink. Guille 1955 catalog and letter.

PINK SALUTE (Auten, 1954) - Double - Pink - Very Early - Hybrid. Auten's earliest double officinalis hybrid. Bright shade of cerise pink, with darker tints toward the center. Officinalis x albiflora. Auten's 1954 catalog, and 1955 letter.

PINK SOLANGE (Auten, 1933) - Double - Pink. Just exactly what the name implies - same exasperating bud, same form of bloom, fine pink, color of Sarah Bernhardt. (No red splashes) Bulletin 54.

PINK SPRITE (Auten, 1954) - Single - Pink - Midseason. Medium size plant. Single pink, in an unusual and ethereal shade. Medium size bloom. Auten's '1954 catalog. 1955 letter.

PINK WONDER (Bigger, 1950) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. About 30" tall. Large bright pink. Very floriferous. Beautiful. The base of the petals are slightly darker giving the flower an added brightness. The stems are strong. The foliage is clean and medium dark green. Bigger 1955 price list.

PIONEER (Franklin, 1942) - Semi-Double - Red - Very Early. Rather tall. Very early deep red which shows stamens, strong stems with dark green foliage. One of the first to bloom. Wild's 1952 catalog. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 93.

PIOU-PIOU (Kelway, 1915) - Single - Rose - Midseason.

PIRATE FLAG (Auten, 1933) - Single - Red - Very Late. A rich dark red single, brilliant and enduring. Stiff stems. Outstanding. Bulletin 54.

PITNEY (Kelway) - Single - Shell-Pink - Midseason.

PITTI SINN (Vories, 1924) - Double - Pink - Late. Medium large. Pink guard petals on which rests a row of yellowish petaloids extending around bloom; in the center a pink tuft gives the flower height. Strong plant. List in Bulletin 60. M.

PIXIE (Auten, 1931) - Jap. - Red - DISCARDED. Red Jap, with lighter casts in center, small bloom on tall stiff stems. Distinct. Bulletin 47 - List 91.

PLAINSMAN (Bigger, 1949) - Jap. - Flesh to White - Midseason. Very light flesh pink to white with yellow staminodes and white carpels. Heavy medium green foliage and a heavy bloomer with very good substance. Bigger 1955 price list.

PLANTATION (Richmond) - Double - White - Late. Very double white, with crisp petals enclosed in a cup. Looks like a cotton ball. Richmond's 1952 catalog and 1955 list.

PLAYMATE (Saunders, 1950) - Single - Pink - Hybrid. Sold as a strain. Small bright rosy flowers held high above the fern-like foliage. Lovely garden plant. Rose pink. Mlokosewitschi x tenuifolia. List in Bulletin 129. Saunders 1955 catalog.

PLEASURE (Kelway, 1926) - Single - White - Midseason.

PLEIADES (Andrews) - Double - Light Pink. Very erect grower. List in Bulletin 91.

PLENISSIMA ROSEA SUPERBA (Buyck, 1804) - Double - Carmine-Rose - DISCARDED - Midseason.

PLUTARCH (Kelway) - Double - Rosy Magenta - DISCARDED - Midseason.

PLYMOUTH (Auten, 1931) - Double - White - Very Late. Medium height. Fragrant. Large full double. Center open, stiff stems. Bulletin 47. Klehm's 1955 catalog lists it Very Late.

POCAHONTAS (Pleas, 1914) - Jap. - Rose - Midseason.

POETE FREDERIC MISTRAL (Riviere, 1911) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

POLAR KING (Origin unknown) - Jap. - White - Midseason. Guard petals white with staminodes yellow fading white. Carpels tipped white and white disc. Good flower. Wild catalog, 1953.

POLAR STAR (Sass, 1932) - Jap. - White. Tall. Large. The stems are strong. Bulletin 49.
