ROSE CAVALIER (Pleas) - Single - Deep Rose - Midseason.
ROSE CRYSTAL (Saunders) - Ivory - Hybrid. Ivory petals, twisted and pointed like cut-glass, edged with and veined rosy. Crimson stigmas and filaments. Exquisite. Albiflora x macrophylla. Second generation. Saunders 1955 catalog.
ROSEDALE (Auten, 1936) - Semi-Double - Red - Early - Hybrid. Dwarf, about 19" in height. Bloom with strong resemblance to a rose, about 4" in diameter. Stiff stems. Color fine. Clear medium dark red. Officinalis x albiflora. Bulletin 65.
ROSE d'AMOUR (Calot, 1857) - Double - Pink - DISCARDED - Midseason.
ROSE DIAMOND (Saunders, 1943) - Single - Rose - Late - Hybrid. Tall upraised cup of clear salmon rose. Petals folded in a pointed fashion, which gives great style to the flower. Albiflora x lobata. List in Bulletins 91 and 129.
ROSE FLUFF (Kelsey, 1938) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Very large rose-pink. Wonderful for those who like a strong rose shade of pink. List in Bulletin 109.
ROSE GARLAND (Saunders, 1943) - Single - Rose - Hybrid. Rather dwarf. Deep rose single. China pink cup. On reverse white flares streaked pink. Reverse cross: lobata x albiflora. Lists in Bulletins 91 and 129. Miss Saunders Bulletin, 1955.
ROSE GLORY (Otis, 1940) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Very large ball of brilliant rosy pink. List in Bulletin 91.
ROSE GOLD (Rosenfield) - Jap. - Pink - Midseason. Rosefield catalog, 1955.
ROSE GUMM (Gumm, 1930) - Double - Pink. This gave promise of being very fine light pink, but the roots became diseased and it is not known if there is any good stock of it now. List in Bulletin 91.
ROSE HERE (Brand, 1907) - Double - Rose - DISCARDED. 1930 Wild catalog: Dark rose, solid color, seed pods green, tipped white, two rows of guard petals, wide and narrow petals in center. Very attractive. M.
ROSELETTE (Saunders, 1950) - Single - Pink - Hybrid. Prettily formed large flowers of light rose-pink. Triple hybrid: albiflora crossed by a second generation tenuifolia x Mlokosewitschi hybrid. Saunders 1950 catalog says date is 1950. List in Bulletin 129 says 1952. Description given in Catalog 1955.
ROSELLA MAY (Glasscock, 1927) - Double - Deep Pink - Late Midseason. 42" stem. Pleasant odor. Chinensis variety, large rose type. Color uniform deep pink. Form of bud, flat. Stem stiff. Foliage medium, dark green. Color similar to Sarah Bernhardt but different in form. Long keeper as cut flower. Bulletin 30.
ROSELLA MEYER (Richmond) - Double - White - Midseason. Large, lacy, pure white. Heavy foliage and stem. Richmond's 1952 catalog and 1955 list.
ROSELTHEA (Lewis, 1922) - Double - Pink - Midseason.
ROSE MARIE (Auten-Glasscock, 1936) - Double - Red - Hybrid. A full double, dark red, clear brilliant shade, does not fade. Bloom quite suggestive of a rose. Officinalis x albiflora. Albiflora x Officinalis. Bulletins 65 and 91.

ROSE NOBLE (Saunders, 1950) - Single - Ivory Rose - Hybrid. Palest ivory rose, flared. Crimson stigmas and filaments. Quadruple hybrids, albiflora, Officinalis, macrophylla, Mlokosewitschi. List in Bulletin 129. Saunders 1955 catalog.
ROSE OF HEAVEN (Mann-van Steen, 1936) - Double - Clear Pink - Midseason. Medium height. Flower shape of a large rosebud. Fine clear pink of distinctive shade showing golden tips of yellow stamenoids in flower. President Collidge only other peony of similar color. Strong stems. Bulletin 64. Karrells lists it Mid.

ROSE QUEEN (Franklin) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Tall. A large deep pink of even shade. Very attractive, good cut flower. List in Bulletin 91.

ROSE RAYS (Richmond) - Single - Pink - Early Midseason. Tall. Richmond's 1952 catalog and 1955 list.

ROSE ROYAL (Saunders) (Between 1952 and 1955) - Single - Pink - Hybrid. Albiflora x lobata. Bulletin 133, page 17. Miss Saunders letter, 1955.
ROSE SHAYLOR (Shaylor, 1920) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Tall. Mild fragrance. Very large. Pale flesh-pink, tinted with rose-pink, lighter at the edges and shading to creamy yellow at the base of the petals; center petals strongly marked at the edges with crimson; flat flower which opens hollow in the center, displaying creamy flesh-pink surrounded by a band of similar richly colored petals; strong; free-flowering; stiff stems. Good foliage. M.
ROSE STANDISH (Hollis, 1919) - Double - Pink - Midseason.
ROSE TRIUMPH (Sass, 1937) - Bulletin 69.
ROSETTE (Dessert, 1918) - Double - Pink - Early Midseason. Medium height. Not especially fragrant. Large. Light shell-pink of a clear, fresh shade, with a ring of short petals near the center tipped crimson; not especially fragrant. Floriferous, strong stems. Excellent foliage. A big handsome flower of unusually clean color, but of loose, floppy petalage unless extremely well grown. M.
ROSE TULIP (Saunders, 1947) - Single - Pink - Hybrid. Flowers erect, tall, like pink tulips. Unusual. Albiflora x lobata. List in Bulletin 129.
