Paeonia carthalinica Ketzch. sp. nova Grundtypen der Vegetationsdecke, Tiflis (.1935) 20 (nomen); Kem-Nath. in Flora Grusii IV. (1948) 7 (diagn. georg.); P. tenuifolia auct. canc. p. p. non L. Rhizoma breve, radicalibus multis incrassatis fusiformibus vel interdum nuciformibus. Planta 3540 cm alta. Caules glabri crebre foliosi. Folia bi-triternata, foliolis in lacinias elongatas 1-3 mm lt. 35-fidis; laciniae foliorum radicalium sublatiores. Petala magna 46 cm lg., 34 cm lt. miniata. Antherae flavae, filamenta purpurea. fructus elongati ad medium patentes tomentoso - pubescentes, pilis rufescente - sordidis. Semina ovata, nitida, nigra. Typus. Carthli, p.
