DOLORODELL (Lins. 1942) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. 3 year old plants 36" high. Full double vivid medium pink. Color practically that of WALTER FAXON. Very large bloom form on strong stammed plants. Foliage way down. Bulletin 90.

DONALD (Kelsey, 1936) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Very tall - about 54". Fragrant. Rose pink; light green foliage. Stems very wiry, carrying medium sized flowers. Broad, incurved outer petals around closely packed row of shorter petals. Faint tinge of yellow deep in petals. Catalog 7 Bulletin 80.

DONNA BERKLEY (Sass, 1942) - Double - White - Late. Medium height. This is a large, pure white of full rose type. Strong stems give ample support to the large flowers. Large green foliage produced low on the stem. Bulletin 87.

DONNA JEAN (Brown, 1949) - Jap. - Pink."The petals, stamens and pistils are all a soft blush pink. There is no discordant note to mar the entrancing loveliness of this beautiful flower." Brown's peony Gardens, 1955. Bulletin 125, page 25. Date from Mr. Brown's letter, 1955.

DORCHESTER (Richardson, 1870) - Double - Flesh. 1930 Wild catalog: Very late, large and full, fine pink it does not sun scald. M.

DOREEN (Sass, 1949) - Jap. - Light Rose Pink. Midseason to late midseason. Medium height. Guards: well rounded, large, medium light rose pink. Staminodes : yellow, suffused with color of the guards. Anthers transformed to yellow tips and edges to the staminodes. Carpels; small, green, turning dull red. Stigmas: bright red. Disc not evident. Foliage: light green, medium sized. Stems: strong, medium height. A distinctive flower of several shades of pink. Bulletin 122.

DORIS (Shaylor, 1920) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Medium tall. Cup-shapped blooms of fresh pink with deeper pink touches on flowers of well-developed plants. Strong grower; free bloomer. M.

DORIS COOPER (Cooper, 1946) - Double - Pink - Late. Tall. Very light pink, fully double. Tall with good stems. Beautiful form and coloring. Bulletin 103.

DOROTHY J (Jones, 1938) - Double - Pink - Late. Height: 40", Odor of chocolate. A rose type double, the color of a salmon tea rose with a darker flush at center of flower. Perfect in carriage, symmetrical petalage with center full and lacy. The heavy stems with light green foliage carry a peony that is perfect in bud and gorgeous in full bloom. Bulletin 71.

DOROTHY KELWAY (Kelway) - Double - Pink - M.

DO TELL (Auten, 1946) - Jap. - Pink. Outer petals very pale orchid pink, narrow center petals much darker, some of them red. A very striking combination, with the color contrast the strongest of any type I (Auten) have seen. Letter from Mr. Auten, 1955. Auten catalog.

DOUGLAS MacARTHUR (Rosefield, 1942) - Double - Pink - Midseason. Tall. Large clear light pink .List in Bulletin 91.

DOUG'S WHITE (Brown, 1952) - Double - White. A magnificent new pure white. The bloom is very large and deep. The plant is strong and carries the huge bloom erect. Brown's Peony Gardens, 1955. Date of introduction from letter, 1955.

DRAGON'S HEAD - TATSUGASHIRA - Jap. - Crimson.

DRAGON'S NEST (Auten, 1933) - Jap. - Red. Very bright red guards, a bright yellow Jap collar and a tuft of red petals in the center. A very bold and modified Jap. Bulletin 54.
