P.caucasica N.Schipcz. - caucasian peony Endemic, native in forests and upper mountainous regions of Kolchidia [the region of Georgia between Abkhasia and Adsharia] at altitudes of 900-2000m. Stems branching, 50-100cm high. Leaves biternate, segments broad-oval, dark green above, grey-green beneath. Flowers rose-violet or deep-rose. |
